MagicEpoxy Art Epoxy Casting Resin is a high-performance, crystal-clear, low-viscosity epoxy system made for deep pours and intricate designs. It offers:

  • Ultra-clear finish
  • Low odor and VOC
  • Self-leveling and bubble-releasing
  • UV resistance (for long-lasting clarity)
  • Deep pour capability up to 2 inches (5 cm) per pour (depending on volume and ambient temperature)

🧪 Mixing Instructions

✅ What You Need:

  • MagicEpoxy Resin (Part A)
  • MagicEpoxy Hardener (Part B)
  • Measuring cups (marked and clean)
  • Stirring sticks or spatula
  • Gloves & protective gear

🔄 Mixing Ratio:

  • 2:1 by volume (2 parts Resin A : 1 part Hardener B)

🕰 Working Time:

  • 45–60 minutes at 70°F (21°C)

🧑‍🔬 Steps:

  1. Measure accurately: Use a clean cup to measure 2 parts Resin (A) and 1 part Hardener (B).
  2. Mix slowly for 3–5 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of the container continuously. Mix until fully blended and no streaks remain.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 1–2 minutes to allow bubbles to rise.

🫗 Pouring Instructions

  1. Prep your mold or surface: Ensure it’s clean, dry, and level. Use a release agent if needed for molds.
  2. Pour slowly into the center of the mold/surface. For deep pours, pour in layers if needed.
  3. Remove bubbles with a heat gun or torch, keeping the flame moving to avoid burning the resin.
  4. Cover the piece with a dust cover during curing to prevent debris.

Curing Times

80°F (27°C)18–20 hrs~48 hrs36–48 hours
  • DO NOT SAND before it’s fully cured and hard to the touch.
  • Thicker pours may take longer to cure depending on volume and temperature.

🧽 Sanding & Finishing

🔧 When to Sand:

  • Wait at least 48–72 hours until the resin is completely hard and no longer tacky.
  • Begin with wet sanding using:
    • 400 grit → 800 grit → 1000 grit → 1500+ grit (for ultra-smooth finish)

✨ Polishing Guide:

  1. Clean the sanded surface thoroughly.
  2. Use a plastic polish or automotive-grade compound.
  3. Apply with a soft cloth or buffing pad (low speed).
  4. Buff until the surface is glossy and smooth.
  5. Optional: Apply a finishing wax or sealer for enhanced shine and protection.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Always work in a dust-free, ventilated area.
  • Warm the resin containers slightly (in a warm water bath) before mixing in cold environments to reduce bubbles.
  • Don’t mix more resin than you can use within the working time.
  • Use silicone molds for easy demolding.
  • For colored effects, add MagicEpoxy pigments or mica powders during mixing.
